We take climate change extremely seriously and are constantly taking actions to reduce our impact on the environment. We do this by following every step we take. Our entire production takes place in Europe, which means that we can keep a close eye on production via several factory visits per year. In this way we can adapt even better to more sustainable materials, reduce waste, guarantee the social conditions of the employees and work more efficiently.
Production process
Producing fashion is a long process in which harmful substances can be released during the dyeing of the fabrics. Onori ensures that nature is not damaged in any way during production. At the start of production, bales of cotton are spun and knitted and checked under a lightbox. Then colour tests are carried out in the laboratory to find the right colour that meets the customer’s wishes. When the right colour has been found, the fabric is dyed in large kettles. After this, the most important step begins the ecological cleaning of the remaining paint water from the large kettles. The water is poured into enormous basins, whereby with the use of enzymes pure clean water comes out.
Corporate social responsibility
At Onori we always work on a more responsible and sustainable way of producing. In order to realize our CSR & Sustainability Strategy, we are very selective in who we work with.
All our products are therefore fully produced in Europe and the factories are regularly visited. In this way, we can guarantee the social conditions of the employees of our suppliers.
By using audits and assessment tools to select and monitor factories and by favouring fewer partners over many, we build long and close partnerships with our suppliers.
Durability
Sustainability is a great asset today and is highly valuated by Onori. Onori is a sustainable company that is constantly taking new steps to strengthen our practices and get even better at what we do. One of our absolute main priorities is to design and create sustainable products, with minimal impact on the environment and without endangering the well-being of future generations.
